Add a Loop or Insert
- For a Loop, click an empty Add loop tile. Choose Video or image… to pick a video, JPEG or PNG. Choose Black to add a plain black Loop.
- For an Insert, click an empty Add insert VT tile and choose a video. Still images are for Loops only.
- Choose the file in the file window, then click Open. Wait for its tile to appear.
You can also drag one file from Finder onto an empty Loop or Insert tile. Click and hold the file, move it over the empty tile, then release. Dropping a Finder file onto an occupied tile does nothing; it will never replace that clip.
Name a clip and choose its settings
Click the small sliders icon on a tile to open its settings. Give it a short name you will recognise during the show, choose its transition and, for an Insert, decide whether to mute its audio.
You can also right-click the tile. On a trackpad, click with two fingers; or hold the Control key while clicking.
Changes apply as you make them. When typing, press Return or leave the field to apply the value. Click Done when finished, then use Project → Save to keep the changes in your named project.
Make room and put things in order
- Click Add page above Loops or Inserts when you need more room. Use the Loop page arrows or Insert page tabs to switch pages.
- Drag a tile onto an empty slot of the same type to move it. Drop it onto an occupied slot to swap the two tiles.
- To move between pages, keep holding the tile over an Insert page tab or a Loop page arrow until the page changes, then drop it.
- Drag Insert page tabs to reorder them. Right-click a tab and choose Rename… to change its name.
If you prefer menus, right-click a tile and use Move to… to choose a page and position. Press Escape to cancel a drag.
Replace or remove media
Open the tile's settings and choose Change media… to replace its file, or Remove to take the tile out of the project.
A playing tile cannot be removed. If you change its media while it is playing, the current picture keeps using the old file and the replacement is used next time.
