Save a named project
- Choose Project → Save, or hold Command and press S.
- The first time, give the project a name and choose where to keep it. It is saved as a .starstruck file.
- Use Save again after making changes. Choose Save as… if you want another project file with a different name or location.
Tile and settings changes apply immediately in the app, but they still need Project → Save to update your named project file. There are no separate Save buttons in the property editors.
Save does not copy your videos or pictures. Keep those files in place, or use the transfer steps on the Media & transfer page.
Open a show or start another
Choose Project → Open project… and select the .starstruck file, or use Open recent. New project… starts a fresh show.
If you have changes, Save keeps them in the named file, Don’t Save leaves that file alone, and Cancel takes you back to your current show.
Opening another project stops output. The new project opens silently with Output Off; check its media and hardware choices before turning On.
Recover the last working session
Project → Load last opens the latest working-session copy the app successfully kept in the background. It can include edits you had not saved to the named project.
It opens as unnamed project, silently with Output Off. Save it with a name and location when you want to keep it.
Load last is not the same as Open recent, and it does not overwrite the old named project. Very recent changes may be missing after a crash, so keep using Save as you work.
